Student Safety

This starts with our student properties and the maintenance of accommodation. We take our statutory obligations very seriously and as such we ensure that:

Electrical safety in our student accommodation is appropriate and that all wiring is certified according to NICEIC wiring standards.

Gas safety in our student houses is tested as required by a registered Gas Safe engineer; with the latest gas safety certificate being available to view.

Smoke alarms are fitted and tested annually in all our student accommodation. However if students could check the fire alarms in the property on a regular basis, we will of course organise new batteries or alarms as required and on an urgent basis.

Student houses are checked by Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue.

Keeping students safe in Lincoln

Please be careful in Lincoln. Although Lincoln is a relatively small city, just like any area of the UK, crimes are committed. It is always best to stay safe by following some basic guidelines. Lincoln University Students Union has some safety advice for students.
