Moving Tips
Below we provide some useful information regarding moving into our student housing in Lincoln as well as details relating to moving out.
Moving into your student accommodation
At a time of your convenience, we will meet you at your new student house. We will provide you with your keys and then take you around your student home. At this time we will show you how to use the washing machine, central heating and cooker.
As we view the property we will note any defects; marks on carpets, walls, etc. so that you are not charged for these when you move out.
Your student home is ready for you to move into without the need to purchase appliances. However you will need to bring your own bedding, crockery, cutlery, kitchen equipment, towels, etc.
If you would like someone else to collect the keys for you, we do need authorisation to do this in writing. We will provide a receipt for the keys.
The £200 holding deposit provided when you signed the contract reverts to a bond for any damages on moving out.
Moving out of your student accommodation
Just before you move out we undertake an inspection and agree with you where there are any issues or damages to be paid for. The property needs to be left in the same condition as it was when you moved into the accommodation. 14 days after you have moved out, your deposit is posted to you. To enable us to provide you with your deposit we will need a forwarding address from you.
